Road bike tour in the Kitzbühel Alps
Day tour: An intensive tour with 2 pass crossings. Mountain massifs such as the Hohe Tauern, the Kitzbühel Alps, the Kaiser Mountains and the Leoganger Steinberge form the "rocky framework" for this tour.
From Bruck through the Oberpinzgau to Mittersill - via the Pass-Thurn road past Mittersill Castle to the top of the pass, then downhill through the Jochbergerwald forest - Aurach - to Kitzbühel. In Kitzbühel, past the golf course, then leave Pass-Thurn-Straße and turn into Hornweg - via Römerweg - Speckbacherstraße - to St. Johann. From St. Johann via Fieberbrunnerstraße - Hochkönigstraße and on to Hochfilzen. Once you reach the saddle, cycle downhill via Leogang to Saalfelden. A pleasant ride from Saalfelden via Gerling - Maishofen - Thumersbach - Bruck.
